Mentor Volunteer with the team

Show a student what they can do.

The ChurroBots run on volunteers. Robotics expert, marketing pro, or simply someone who wants to back the next generation of engineers: the most important qualification is caring about the students and showing up.

01 Where we need help

Six subteams that need coaching.

You don't need to know FRC. You need to know your craft and be willing to teach it to a 15-year-old.

/ 01

Mechanical

Machinists, mechanical engineers, makers. Help students design and fabricate mechanisms that hold up on the field.

/ 02

Electrical

Electrical engineers and technicians. Wiring, power, sensors, and the discipline to make it reliable.

/ 03

Software

Developers of any stack. Robot code, controls, tooling, and teaching students to debug calmly.

/ 04

Design (CAD)

Anyone fluent in 3D CAD. Help students model the full robot before a single part is cut.

/ 05

Game play

Strategists and analysts. Scouting, match strategy, and decision-making under pressure.

/ 06

Business development

Marketers, fundraisers, operators. Sponsorships, budgets, logistics, and the team's public story.

02 Time commitment

Two ways to give your time.

Both matter. Tutors keep students on track in school. Mentors keep the robot on track for competition.

Option A

Tutor

1 hour, once or twice a week. Help students with schoolwork so robotics never comes at the expense of grades.

Option B

Mentor a subteam

3 hours, once a week. Coach one of the six subteams through build season and competition.
