This is the heart of Hope Horizon, and the part that has stayed the same since 1984: a caring adult who walks with a student through the hard years and the good ones. Our Christian faith shapes this work, through Bible teaching, prayer, mentorship, and discipleship, always offered with an open hand. Students and families of every background are welcome, and faith is always the student's choice.

Our middle school retreat centers on one truth: every student is chosen for a purpose, not because of grades or circumstances, but because of who they are.
How it works
One mentor. One student. Every week.
Throughout the school year, TK–12 students meet one-on-one with an adult mentor each week during regular program hours. Mentors build a relationship of trust, a safe place for a student to talk, ask the big questions, and grow in character, resilience, and confidence. Students enrolled in our academic program are eligible to sign up.

You don't need to have all the answers. You need to be consistent, caring, and willing to listen. We'll train you and match you with a student. An hour a week can change the course of a young life.
