WHY MONTHLY
A promise we can actually keep.
A student does not need help for a month. They need a tutor in October and the same tutor in April. Predictable income is what lets us hire and keep staff, commit to a school year, and say yes to a family in September without hoping the money appears in February.
Monthly gifts provide dependable support that helps Hope Horizon plan responsibly and sustain programs throughout the year. Because needs vary across programs and seasons, your gift is used where it can support the work most effectively.
THE YEAR YOUR GIFT HOLDS OPEN
What runs, month after month.
Fall through spring
Afterschool tutoring and homework support, Monday to Thursday, plus the robotics pathway and optional weekly mentoring.
Summer
Camp Hope Horizon runs six weeks of academics, field trips, and STEM. Camp is $250 for the full session, and scholarships are available.
All year
Open Door scholarships for students heading to college, and the staff who keep every one of these running.

Is my gift tax-deductible?
Hope Horizon East Palo Alto is a registered 501(c)(3), EIN 77-0151434. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. We are not tax advisors, so check specifics with yours.
Can I change or cancel my monthly gift?
Yes, at any time, and without a conversation you did not ask for. Email us and we will take care of it.
Where does the money go?
Into programs for East Palo Alto students. We file a Form 990 every year and will send a copy on request, along with our financial statements.
Is the payment page secure?
Giving is processed on our secure donation platform at donate.hopehorizonepa.org. We never see or store your card details.
WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE MONTHLY
Easier for you, more useful to us.
Most people cannot write one large cheque, and most people forget the one they meant to write in December. A smaller amount every month is easier to plan around on both sides of the transaction.
Students do not only need support in December. The school year runs through spring, camp runs through summer, and the work of keeping those doors open continues in every month between. Recurring support lets us plan a year with some confidence rather than hope for one.
