Tree planting with Canopy

We are partnering with Canopy to put mandarin trees and bushes in the ground on our campus, and to pot succulents that families take home. Children work alongside adults.

What to expect

What

Planting mandarin trees and bushes on the Hope Horizon campus, plus a family station for potting succulents to take home. Canopy walks participants through what they are planting and why it matters for a neighborhood like ours.

Why

Trees and green space change what a campus feels like for the kids who spend their afternoons on it, and the morning brings neighbors and churches onto the property together.

How to take part

No signup is required, and there is no cost. You are welcome to come. If you would like to volunteer or bring a group, email Nicole. For other questions about the event, email Eric.

Schedule

  • 8:45 a.m. Church leadership: coffee and connection
  • 10:00 a.m. Planting begins, open to everyone

Before you come

  • Planting volunteers need to be 16 or older.
  • Children of any age are welcome at the succulent potting station.
  • About 20 people are needed for the planting itself.
  • No cost, and no signup form.
